Terri's Vivid Impression series features bright, vivid colors and thick brushstrokes. These original oil paintings often feature the Canadian landscape, mostly local Alberta scenes from the Calgary area. Deeply passionate about her work, Terri finds beauty and inspiration everywhere, from the expanse of the Rocky Mountains, to prairie skies, to details of wild grasses or poplar tree bark.
Boldly abstract when seen up close, these paintings become more realistic when seen at a distance. Terri's masterful layering process blends a bright background color, subtle gold underpainting, and deftly applied oil colors to create a visual feast for the eyes.
In order to keep her artwork fresh, Terri often experiments with other styles, learning and gaining new skills.
